Nanoleaf Desktop 2.3.5 is a Windows and macOS system service that provides centralized command of every Nanoleaf lighting device present on the same local network, enabling users to orchestrate 4D screen-mirror kits, Skylight ceiling tiles, Lines back-lit bars, Shapes hexagons, Essentials bulbs and lightstrips, Elements wood-look panels, Canvas squares, and original Light Panels without reaching for a phone. Released as the first and only desktop build to date, the application translates the company’s mobile-centric workflow into a larger canvas suited to multi-room installations: scenes can be composed, previewed, and instantly pushed to one or many layouts; sunrise-to-sunset schedules or custom alarms can be assigned to individual devices or groups; and newly published community scenes can be browsed and downloaded directly from the interface. Because the service discovers hardware through local multicast traffic, adjustments execute with minimal latency even when the Internet is unavailable, while the expanded window layout allows macro-level edits—renaming dozens of panels, shifting color palettes across floors, or cloning a holiday theme from one wall to another—to be performed in a few clicks. Network credentials are stored securely on the host computer, so corporate or campus VLANs can be traversed without exposing tokens to cloud endpoints. Although the publisher has not issued incremental updates beyond 2.3.5, the single-version installer remains current with all shipping firmware and is distributed free of charge on get.nero.com, where downloads are supplied through trusted Windows package sources such as winget, guaranteeing the latest build, silent deployment, and batch installation alongside other applications.
